This cover was designed for the author Fi Lindfors. The core idea was to balance contrast and empowerment as well as having a cover that will stand out on the shelves. The floral elements serve as both a visual counterpoint to the bold title Ur vägen gubbe! (“Out of the way, old man!”) and a statement of strength.. a reminder that women can buy themselves flowers and take life into their own hands.
The concept reflects the book’s core message: challenging everyday inequality while celebrating self-ownership, humor, and defiance. I wanted the design to feel unapologetically feminine yet powerful. Rebellion wrapped in beauty, softness used as strength.
The final result is a cover that captures both the wit and fire of Fi Lindfors’ voice, inviting readers into a story that empowers, questions, and inspires.
